Executive Council of Student Government Voted In

As the academic year comes to a close Student Government is preparing for the next academic year with the announcement of the new Executive Council. The Executive Council for the 2007-2008 academic year includes: President Kathleen Nealon, Executive Vice President Kyria Rousseau, Administrative Vice President Mary Kate Walker, Secretary Amanda Dadiego, Treasurer Lydia Herron, Chief Justice Megan Fraino, and Director of the Board of Programmers Bridget Reilly.

Virginia Tech; What is our Administration Doing?

The massacre that took place at Virginia Tech shocked the nation. It was the deadliest shooting in this country's history, killing 33 people and injuring several more. The shooting lasted for at least nine minutes. The killer, Seung-Hui Cho, fired at least 140 rounds.

Supreme Court Rules on Abortion

On April 18th, the United States Supreme Court ruled that it is illegal for doctors to perform a medical procedure that is commonly called partial-birth abortion. The 5-to-4 decision may be the most significant decision since the 1973 Roe v. Wade court case that legalized abortion.

ADHD in College

ADHD is most often a disorder discussed in childhood. It is seldom addressed in a college environment. As college students, we often joke around by claiming we have ADD because we cannot concentrate, we procrastinate like it is our job and we would rather focus on things in our lives we find more stimulating, like friends and fun.
