The final tallies are in and we have a winner! Professor of the Year for 2006-2007 is Dr. Edward Zukowski of the Religious Studies Department!
Known to many of his students as "Dr. Z," Dr. Zukowski was born on Christmas 1946 in South River, NJ, and still lives there today with his wife and 14-year-old son.

A life-long resident of the Bronx, Dr. Mary Ellen Sullivan, head of the Mount's education program, exemplifies what it means to be an educator.
According to Dr. Sullivan, the most significant experience in her early life would be growing up in a large Irish-American family.

Striving to be the best teacher she can be Dr. Kristi Bracchitta has proven her ability and gift for educating her students, which is reflected in her recent nomination for Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Bracchitta came to the Mount in the fall of 2004 to be a full-time professor of psychology.

Inside the Science Building, tucked away in a laboratory on the third floor, Dr. James Fabrizio demonstrates a deep commitment to his students and a passion for the study of genetics.
Celebrating his fifth year at the Mount, Dr. Fabrizio, an assistant professor in the biology department, has been nominated for the Teacher of the Year Award.
